Congress Registration Desk

The Registration Desk is located on the Mezzanine Level at the Hotel Grand Chancellor and will be open for registration as detailed below:

Full delegates are required to register either on Sunday 6 March or Monday 7 March prior to commencement of the Opening Session. Day registrations are required to register on the morning of the first day of their attendance. Upon registration delegates will be issued with their registration pack which includes name badge, social event tickets, program handbook and delegate satchel.

The Hotel Grand Chancellor is located at 1 Davey Street, Hobart.

Name Badges and Tickets

Name badges should be worn at all times. Admission to all sessions, morning and afternoon teas and lunches is by name badge only.

All enquiries in relation to social events, tours, program information, accommodation, general information may be directed to the registration desk. Should you need to contact the Conference Secretariat onsite please call 0439 912 333.

Parking

There is a public car park underneath the Hotel Grand Chancellor that can be accessed via Macquarie Street. The car park works from a voucher system and is approximately $1.10 per hour. In house guests can also access the car park and this is $8.00 per day self-park and $15.00 per day for valet parking.

Climate

The average maximum temperature in March is 20.9 degrees Celsius with an average number of 10.4 rainy days. The climate of Hobart is not predominately hot in temperature compared with the rest of Australia and is therefore advised delegates bring a warm jacket for the evening social functions.

Delegate List

A delegate list will be available from the Registration Desk. Please note that due to Australian Privacy Laws some delegates have requested their details not be included in this list.

Child Care

Please note that no official arrangements have been made for childcare during the Conference. A majority of the hotels listed do offer childcare facilities however please check with the hotel you are staying at to organise further babysitting services during your stay.

Communication

All communication with registered delegates will be by email wherever an email address is provided, or by fax. If you register and do not receive a confirmation either by email or fax within 5 working days please contact the Congress Secretariat EECW by phone on (08) 9389 1488 or info@eecw.com.au.

Insurance

Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. It is strongly recommended that all delegates take out their own travel and medical insurance prior to coming to the Conference. The policy should include loss of fees/deposit through cancellation of your participation in the Congress, or through cancellation of the Congress itself, loss of airfares for any reason, medical expenses, loss or damage to personal property, additional expenses and repatriation should travel arrangements have to be altered. Neither the Congress Secretariat nor the Organising Committee will take any responsibility for any participant failing to insure. Please speak to your travel agent or airline in regard to this matter.

Meals

All tea breaks and lunches will be served amongst the Exhibition. The Conference Organisers recognise that some delegates may have special dietary needs. Please advise the Congress Secretariat either via the registration form or in writing should you wish for them to make alternative arrangements on your behalf.

Privacy Statement

In registering for PIA 2011, your relevant details may be incorporated into a delegate list for the benefit of all delegates, sponsors, exhibitors, EECW Pty Ltd and other parties directly related to the Congress. Should you wish for your details not to be included in this list, please tick the privacy requested box on the registration form.

Smoking Policy

The Hotel Grand Chancellor Hobart has a no smoking policy. This policy also applies to the majority of restaurants, bars and shopping centres in Hobart.

Visas

International visitors to Australia require a Visa or an electronic travel authority. It is your responsibility to ensure documentation is correct and complete before you commence your journey. Information on obtaining visas or ETA's can be found on the web site - www.eta.immi.gov.au

Many hotels will recommend and offer an Airport Shuttle service however the Red Line service is available to pre book from the airport to your chosen accommodation. These bookings can be made at www.tasredline.com.au. There are also taxi and bus services that run regularly from the airport to the city centre.
