Best of Hobart Tour is a showcase of Hobart's charm. See, taste and experience a different view of Tasmania!

Full day sail in the wake of the early settlers will take you quietly along the foreshores of beautiful Norfolk Bay, named by Mathew Flinders. Sail past Cascades, Impression Bay, Premaydena and Saltwater River to the historic coalmines at Plunkett Point, and hear how these outstations helped shape the early days of the colony. At the coalmines, go ashore and explore the ruins, or you can just relax on board enjoying the peaceful scenery with a glass of wine. You may prefer to use the kayaks to explore the sheltered shoreline; if so, bring your togs and a towel!

Lunch will be enjoyed at anchor in a quiet bay before sailing back to Taranna with afternoon tea served along the way.

Russell Falls Full Day Tour

Wilderness and waterfalls...Experience the tranquility of pristine rainforest, tall tree ferns and majestic Russell Falls at Mt Field National Park. Visit the Salmon Ponds, the oldest trout hatchery in the Southern Hemisphere, in operation since 1864. Feed the trout and salmon and visit the Museum of Trout Fishing and Tasmanian Angling Hall of Fame set amidst the historic buildings, hatchery and fish ponds, within the original English parkland of superb trees, hedges and lawns. The classic must-do tour, provides a great introduction to Hobart's history and orientation of the city today. Guides explain the heritage-listed sandstone buildings, still such a visible part of the city, together with stories of characters and issues that were major influences in those early days. Covers the first settlement site, the town in the 1840's — 1860's, St. David's Church and Park, and finishes in Salamanca.

Depart Hobart (Brooke Street Pier) and drive 21km by minibus to the summit of Mount Wellington. On the way, our Guide will provide some interpretation giving an insight into the Mountain itself. Rising to a height of 1270 metres, Mt Wellington is a spectacular and panoramic backdrop for the city of Hobart. Take in the views of the distant mountain ranges of the southwest to the sprawling city of Hobart below. Your guide will then fit you with a bicycle, helmet and safety vest followed by a detailed cycle safety briefing. After a practice ride at the summit, regroup and follow your guide on a downhill descent of the mountain
